All swings are built with rot-resistant cypress wood and feature a rolled front and back for less irritation and a contoured seat for more comfort. Swings are unfinished for you to choose your method of finishing. Swings are easily assembled in 15 to 20 minutes. No staples are used; only zinc plated screws and galvanized bolts are used in building the glider. You may upgrade your swing with several different options: carvings, cup holder arms, stainless steel hardware, stains and paints.

WHY CYPRESS
Cypress has a natural preservative oil known as cypressene, which gives the wood natural resistance to insects and decay. With a suitable surface treatment, cypress wood offers has superior durability, holding paint well and resisting weather. Cypress is a beautiful, distinctive, and durable wood that assures years of trouble-free satisfaction and its uses reflect that. In addition to rugged outdoor furniture, cypress is regularly used in building construction, posts, beams, decks, docks, porch flooring, greenhouses and siding. Because of its durability, cypress can be used in many of the same products as cedar and redwood. Cypress is all but indestructible. It is a close-grain wood that resists checking and warping, and it is long-lasting as well as weather-resistant. Cypress can be easily painted and holds paint longer than other wood. If you choose to paint this product, you should use an exterior oil-based primer (white or gray) followed by an exterior oil or latex paint of your choice. If you choose to have the product remain natural, you should apply a natural oil-based stain or preservative annually or as needed. Note: Cypress is a dense wood and the drying process may take several days depending on humidity and temperature. Small cracks called weather checking may appear in the wood. This is a natural process and will not affect the useful life of this product.
Even though the cup holder on our swing was broken upon arrival a replacement was sent to us very quickly. It was very easy to put the swing together with the hardware provided. The workmanship of this product is very good. We are very pleased with our purchase.
This swing was worth the lead time wait. Despite the shipping issues (no fault of LA Rocking Furniture, however, they provided top notch customer service throughout the process), we just love the swing. We ordered it with no finish and added a grey translucent stain. The wood gave it a greenish cast but is is beautiful!
Construction is good and assembly is easy with a 1/2" wrench or socket.
It will be a treasured spot on the back yard for years to come. So much so that my wife had to try it out in the 50 degree weather in which we hung out.
We purchased this as a replacement for our old swing that came apart because of rotting wood parts. This new cypress swing fits perfectly into the old stand and is very comfortable. I also like the craftsmanship and the light finish. It also came with good instructions and was easy to assemble. You do have to have a few tools to properly tighten the nuts and bolts. And I would also recommend a power tool instead of a manual screw driver to attach the risers and armrests with the included long wood screws.
We received our long-awaited shipment of 4 - 5’ Cypress swings and the Swings look amazing except for one that was damaged and another that is scuffed up - a few dings and dents on the seat.
The primary damage is UPS - the dents/dings, & scuffs seem like due to packaging. I’ll update the rating based on Customer Service! I’d definitely purchase again - just need to resolve damage.
